2. Q: How do I book an appointment?
A: At this time, appointments can be scheduled by calling us directly or sending an email. Our team will be happy to assist you in finding the right provider and time that fits your needs.
3. Q: Do you accept insurance?
A: Yes. We accept a variety of insurance plans. Contact us to verify your coverage. We also offer transparent, affordable self-pay options.
4. Q: Who can benefit from your services?
A: We support adults and couples navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, identity concerns, stress, life transitions, and more. We also offer psychiatric care and wellness-based services.
5. Q: What should I expect during my first session?
A: Your first session is an intake appointment. Your provider will review your medical history, current concerns, and goals to develop a personalized care plan.
6. Q: Is everything confidential?
A: Yes. Your privacy is protected by law. We adhere to HIPAA regulations to ensure the safe and secure storage of your information.
7. Q: What’s the difference between therapy and psychiatry?
A: Therapy involves discussing thoughts, emotions, and behaviors with a licensed professional. Psychiatry focuses on diagnosing and treating mental health conditions with medication when appropriate.
8. Q: Can I choose my therapist or provider?
A: Absolutely. We offer provider matching based on your preferences, goals, and identity. We want you to feel safe and supported with your provider.
9. Q: Are your providers culturally competent?
A: Yes. Our team is trained in cultural responsiveness, and we prioritize inclusive, identity-affirming care for BIPOC, LGBTQIA2S+ individuals, neurodivergent individuals, and other historically marginalized communities.
10. Q: Do you offer LGBTQIA2S+ affirming care?
A: Yes. We provide affirming, supportive services for LGBTQIA2S+ and QTBIPOC individuals. Your identity is honored here.
11. Q: Are your services available outside of the US?
A: Not at this time. We’re expanding our reach to nationwide practice with providers licensed in multiple states. Contact us to find a provider in your area.
12. Q: Do you offer faith-based counseling?
A: Yes. Faith-based sessions are available upon request. We support a range of spiritual beliefs and offer both Christian and secular approaches.
13. Q: How long are sessions?
A: Most sessions last 45–55 minutes. Psychiatry sessions may vary depending on whether it’s an evaluation or medication follow-up.
14. Q: What platform do you use for virtual sessions?
A: We utilize secure, HIPAA-compliant telehealth platforms to safeguard your privacy and ensure a seamless virtual experience.
15. Q: What if I need to cancel or reschedule my appointment?
A: We ask that you provide at least 24 hours’ notice to avoid a late cancellation fee. You can reschedule by phone or email.
16. Q: Can I switch providers if I’m not a good fit?
A: Yes. Finding the right fit matters. If you ever feel that you’d benefit from a different provider, we’re happy to assist with a referral within our team.
17. Q: Do you offer support for trauma or PTSD?
A: Yes. Many of our providers specialize in trauma-informed care and use evidence-based approaches such as EMDR, CBT, and somatic interventions.
18. Q: Is psychiatry only for people with severe mental illness?
A: Not at all. Many people benefit from short- or long-term medication for issues like anxiety, depression, ADHD, or sleep disorders. Our psychiatric providers offer thoughtful, personalized support.
19. Q: Do you offer weekend or evening appointments?
A: Yes. Many of our providers offer flexible scheduling, including evening and weekend hours to accommodate your lifestyle.
