1. Q: What services do you offer?
A: We provide virtual mental health services for adults and couples. Services include individual psychotherapy, couples counseling, psychiatric medication management, and holistic wellness support. Care is tailored to your needs.
2. Q: How do I book an appointment?
A: Click the Book an Appointment link on our website and complete the form. You may also contact us by phone or email. Our team will help you choose a provider and appointment time.
3. Q: Do you accept insurance?
A: Yes. We accept many insurance plans and continue to add new ones. Contact your insurance company to verify coverage. We also offer clear and affordable self-pay options.
4. Q: Who can benefit from your services?
A: Adults, couples, and some children, depending on the provider. We support anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, stress, identity concerns, life transitions, psychiatry needs, and wellness care.
5. Q: What should I expect during my first session?
A: The first session is an intake appointment. Your provider reviews history, concerns, and goals to create a personalized care plan.
6. Q: Is everything confidential?
A: Yes. Privacy is protected by law. Disclosure occurs only when required for safety concerns, abuse reporting, or court orders. We follow HIPAA standards to protect your information.
7. Q: What is the difference between therapy and psychiatry?
A: Therapy focuses on talk-based treatment with a licensed clinician. Psychiatry focuses on diagnosis and medication management when appropriate.
8. Q: Can I choose my provider?
A: Yes. We offer provider matching based on your preferences, needs, and goals.
9. Q: Are your providers culturally competent?
A: Yes. Our providers deliver culturally responsive and identity-affirming care for BIPOC, LGBTQIA2S+, neurodivergent individuals, and other marginalized communities.
10. Q: Do you offer LGBTQIA2S+ affirming care?
A: Yes. All identities are respected and supported.
11. Q: Are your services available outside the United States?
A: Not yet. We are expanding nationwide through multi-state-licensed providers. Contact us to check availability in your state.
12. Q: Do you offer faith-based counseling?
A: Yes. You may request faith-based services. Both Christian and secular approaches are supported.
13. Q: How long are sessions?
A: Therapy sessions are usually thirty (30) to fifity (50) minutes. Psychiatry sessions vary based on evaluation or follow up needs.
14. Q: What platform do you use for virtual sessions?
A: We use secure, HIPAA compliant telehealth platforms.
15. Q: What if I need to cancel or reschedule?
A: Provide at least twenty-four hours' (24) notice to avoid a late fee. Some services require a forty-eight (48) or seventy-two (72) hours' notice. Contact your provider by phone or email to reschedule.
16. Q: Can I switch providers if the fit is not right?
A: Yes. We will help coordinate a referral within the EHC team when possible.
17. Q: Do you offer trauma or PTSD treatment?
A: Yes. Many providers use evidence-based approaches such as EMDR, CBT, and somatic interventions.
18. Q: Is psychiatry only for severe mental illness?
A: No. Medication can help with anxiety, depression, ADHD, sleep concerns, and more. Care is individualized.
19. Q: Do you offer evening or weekend appointments?
A: Yes. Many providers offer evening and weekend availability.
20. Q: What makes Empowered Harmony Counseling, Psychiatry & Wellness Center different?
A: We combine clinical excellence, cultural compassion, and whole person wellness. We meet you where you are and support meaningful growth.
21. Q: Is telehealth private?
A: Yes. We use HIPAA compliant systems. No technology is risk free, so follow privacy guidance and review confidentiality details in Question 6.
22. Q: Can I see a provider from any state?
A: You must be physically located in the state where your provider is licensed during your session.
23. Q: How long are records kept?
A: Adult records are kept at least seven years. Minor records are kept at least seven years after the eighteenth birthday.
24. Q: Do I need a referral?
A: No. Referrals are not required unless your insurance plan requires one.
25. Q: Do I need therapy at EHC to receive psychiatric medication?
A: No. You may receive psychiatry services without therapy at EHC. We support coordinated care when helpful.
26. Q: What ages do you serve?
A: Psychiatry services are available for patients seven years and older. Therapy age ranges vary by provider. Coaching services are for adults unless stated otherwise.
27. Q: Do you offer telehealth?
A: Yes. All services are provided via secure telehealth platforms. You must be in a private location and not driving.
28. Q: Are telehealth sessions recorded?
A: No. Sessions are not recorded. Recording requires written consent from both the patient and provider.
29. Q: How do I communicate with my provider?
A: All private clinical communication must occur through the patient portal. Website forms and email are not secure.
30. Q: What if I need help between sessions?
A: EHC does not provide crisis services. Call 911, call or text 988, or go to the nearest emergency room if you are in crisis.
31. Q: How long is the first appointment?
A: Appointment length depends on the service selected and is listed on the scheduling page. Psychiatric visits include a detailed review of the patient's history. Therapy visits focus on detailed history, treatment plans, goals, and concerns.
32. Q: What is your cancellation policy?
A: Intake documents must be completed seventy-two (72) hours before the appointment. Incomplete documents result in cancellation. Late cancellations and driving during sessions are considered no-shows. See the Payment and Cancellation page for details.
33. Q: Do you offer in-person appointments?
A: Services are primarily telehealth. Limited in-person appointments may be available based on provider location.
34. Q: What forms of payment do you accept?
A: Accepted payment methods are listed on the website. Payment is processed twenty-four (24) hours before the appointment. Full payment is required to reserve recurring time slots (subscriptions).
35. Q: What is your refund policy?
A: All sales are final. There are no refunds or chargebacks. Evaluation deposits are non-refundable. Credits are rare and must be requested within seven days.
36. Q: Do you help with disability forms, FMLA, or letters?
A: Yes. Document completion is available for a one hundred fifty dollar fee per set. Edits cost extra. ESA letters require at least three appointments.
37. Q: Do you offer interpreter services?
A: Interpreter services may be requested, but are not always available. You may bring your own interpreter when appropriate.
38. Q: How long does an immigration evaluation take?
A: Timelines vary based on case complexity, revisions, and interpreter needs.
39. Q: Does an evaluation guarantee approval?
A: No. Evaluations support legal cases but do not guarantee outcomes. Final decisions are made by authorities or courts.
40. Q: What states do you serve?
A: You may receive services only when physically located in a state where your provider is licensed.
41. Q: What if I am traveling?
A: You must be in a licensed state during the session. Notify your provider before the appointment.

Provider Availability:
Providers may offer sessions seven days a week between 7:00 AM and 9:00 PM. Availability depends on each provider’s schedule.​ Our offices are closed for thirteen (13) holidays. Administrative and support services are unavailable during closures.

44. Q: Am I eligible?
A: Our intake team supports children, teens, adults, and couples. Clinical services depend on the provider’s license, scope of practice, and your physical location at the time of service.
45. Q: How much personal information do I have to share?
A: Only the information needed to match you with the right provider and support appropriate care is required.
46. Q: What happens when I call?
A: A team member will listen to your concerns, gather basic information, and guide you through the next steps.
47. Q: What will I get when I call?
A: You will receive compassionate support and assistance with scheduling your first appointment or determining appropriate services.
48. Q: What is not offered on this helpline?
A: Emergency services and legal advice are not provided. If you are in immediate danger, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room. You may also call or text 988.
49. Q: When can I call?
A: Calls are answered during business hours. You may leave a message at any time, and we will return your call as soon as possible.
50. Q: Who will I talk to?
A: You will speak with a caring professional trained in mental health and wellness support.
51. Q: What does it cost?
A: Costs depend on whether you use insurance or self-pay. Our team can provide general guidance and direct you to detailed pricing information.

Immigration Evaluations
1. Q: What is an immigration evaluation?
A: A mental health assessment that explains your emotional history and current symptoms.​​
2. Q: Who completes the evaluation?
A: A licensed mental health provider trained in trauma and cultural care.
3. Q: Is this legal advice?
A: No. You still need an immigration attorney for legal guidance and filings.
4. Q: How long does it take?
A: Most evaluations are completed within a few weeks.
5. Q: Do you offer telehealth?
A: Yes. Interpreter support is available.
6. Q: What is included in the fee?
A: Interviews, the written report, and required clinical revisions. Screening tools and complete psych evaluations are billed separately.
7. Q: How should I prepare?
A: Think about the events you have lived through and how they affect you today. Share what you feel comfortable discussing.​
