    A: We provide virtual mental health services for adults and couples. Services include individual psychotherapy, couples counseling, psychiatric medication management, and holistic wellness support. Care is tailored to your needs.

  2. Q: How do I book an appointment?
    A: Click the Book an appointment link here and complete the form. You can also contact us by phone or email. Our team will help you select a provider and time that suits you.

  3. Q: Do you accept insurance?
    A: Yes. We accept many plans. We continue to add new insurance companies to EHC. Contact your insurance company to verify your coverage. We also offer straightforward and affordable self-pay options.

  4. Q: Who can benefit from your services?
    A: Children, adults, and couples facing anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, identity concerns, stress, life changes, and more. We also provide psychiatry and wellness services.

  5. Q: What should I expect during my first session?
    A: Your first session is an intake. Your provider will review your medical history, concerns, and goals to create a personalized care plan tailored to your needs.

  6. Q: Is everything confidential?
    A: Yes. Your privacy is protected by law, except when safety laws require disclosure for self-harm, threats, abuse, or court orders. We follow HIPAA guidelines to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and security of your information.

  7. Q: What’s the difference between therapy and psychiatry?
    A: Therapy is talk-based work with a licensed clinician. Psychiatry focuses on diagnosis and, when necessary, medications.

  8. Q: Can I choose my therapist or provider?
    A: Yes. We offer provider matching based on your preferences and goals.

  9. Q: Are your providers culturally competent?
    A: Yes. Our team uses culturally responsive, identity-affirming care for BIPOC, LGBTQIA2S+, neurodivergent people, and other marginalized groups.

  10. Q: Do you offer LGBTQIA2S+ affirming care?
    A: Yes. We provide affirming, supportive services. Your identity is respected.

  11. Q: Are your services available outside of the US?
    A: Not yet. We are expanding to a nationwide practice with multi-state licensed providers. Contact us to check availability in your state.

  12. Q: Do you offer faith-based counseling?
    A: Yes. You can request faith-based sessions. We support both Christian and secular approaches.

  13. Q: How long are sessions?
    A: Most sessions are 45 to 55 minutes. Psychiatry sessions are typically shorter and vary in duration depending on whether they are for evaluation or follow-up.

  14. Q: What platform do you use for virtual sessions?
    A: We use secure, HIPAA-compliant telehealth platforms for a smooth experience.

  15. Q: What if I need to cancel or reschedule my appointment?
    A: Give at least 24 hours' notice to avoid a late fee. You can reschedule by contacting your provider via phone or email.

  16. Q: Can I switch providers if I am not a good fit?
    A: Yes. If a different provider would help, we will assist with a referral within the EHC team.

  17. Q: Do you offer support for trauma or PTSD?
    A: Yes. Most providers utilize evidence-based care, including EMDR, CBT, and somatic interventions.

  18. Q: Is psychiatry only for people with severe mental illness?
    A: No. Medications can help with anxiety, depression, ADHD, and sleep disorders. Care is personalized.

  19. Q: Do you offer weekend or evening appointments?
    A: Yes. Many providers offer evening and weekend hours.

  20. Q: What makes Empowered Harmony Counseling, Psychiatry & Wellness Center different?
    A: We blend clinical excellence, cultural compassion, and whole-person wellness. We meet you where you are and help you rise.

  21. Q: Is telehealth private?
    A: Yes. We use HIPAA-compliant systems. All technology carries some risk, so follow our privacy tips and refer to Q6 for details.

  22. Q: Can I see a provider from any state?
    A: You must be physically in the state where your provider is licensed during your session.

  23. Q: How long are records kept?
    A: At least 7 years for adults. For minors, at least 7 years after their 18th birthday.

Provider Availability:
Providers may offer sessions seven days a week between 7:00 AM and 9:00 PM. Availability depends on each provider’s schedule.

    A: Our intake team supports children, teens, adults, and couples. Clinical services depend on the provider's license and your location.

  2. Q: How much personal information do I have to share?
    A: Only what we need to match you with the right provider and deliver quality care.

  3. Q: What happens when I call?
    A: A team member will listen, note your needs, and guide you to the next steps.

  4. Q: What will I get when I call?
    A: Compassionate support and help scheduling your first appointment.

  5. Q: What is not offered on this helpline?
    A: Emergency care and legal advice. Call 911 or go to the local ER for emergencies. You may also text or call 988.

  6. Q: When can I call?
    A: Call during business hours, or leave a message anytime. We will respond as soon as possible.

  7. Q: Who will I talk to?
    A: A caring professional trained in mental health and wellness support.

  8. Q: What does it cost?
    A:  Fees depend on whether you are self-pay or have insurance coverage.

Volunteer and Intern Opportunities

  1. Q: Am I eligible to volunteer or intern?
    A: Yes, if you are committed to helping others and willing to meet supervision requirements.

  2. Q: When is the next volunteer or intern training?
    A: We will send the details if you are selected for an opportunity.

  3. Q: What if I cannot commit right now?
    A: Apply when you are ready.

  4. Q: What steps must I take to become a volunteer or intern?
    A: Complete the application, Federal background check, child welfare verification,  and orientation.

  5. Q: What does the training include?
    A: Online sessions on client care, ethics, our procedures, and more.

  6. Q: What shifts are available after training?
    A: Flexible remote shifts.

  7. Q: What does a typical shift look like?
    A: You will assist clients, answer inquiries, and connect people with resources.

  8. Q: What if I know someone who would be great for this?
    A: Invite them to apply online. Referrals are welcome.

  9. Q: Does Empowered Harmony Counseling accept interns?
    A: Yes. We welcome interns in counseling, social work, psychology, technology, marketing, advertising, accounting, and business.

  10. Q: Does Empowered Harmony Counseling accept contract providers?
    A: Yes. We partner with licensed mental health providers, wellness professionals, certified coaches, BCBAs, assessors, and tutors who share our mission.

  11. Q: How can I join the Empowered Harmony Counseling team?
